Rockler is having a sale on irwin parallel clamps and I was wondering if anyone has them. You get 2 24” and 2 48” for $100. Sounds like a great deal. I don’t have any parallel clamps and have been wanting to try some.

I have not used Irwin, but I think at that price you cannot go wrong. Where did you see them for 100.00? I can only find this set for 232.00.

I have never used the Irwins myself, but I did read a review that said that they are very heavy in comparison to the others. Bessey, Jet, Jorgensen, etc.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it could be a consideration?

Is that an in store sale? If online sale please post a link as I can only find the $232 set.

It was in the flyer marked to deliver Dec 29-31. Probably have to pick them up at the store.

The flyer says save 40% off the regular price of $167.96, which is the price of ordering them individually. What’s up with the $232 price for the set? Why would you pay $64 extra to buy the set?

I don’t have the Irwin parallel jaw clamps, but I do have a bunch of their other styles. If the parallel jaw clamps are on the same par with their other offerings, I would go for it.

That’s the Rockler online price for the set and yes they do charge quite a premium for calling it a set. This must be an in store sale and no store near me.

The sale starts on Jan. 2 2010. I got the flyer yesterday. I have begged and pleaded with my wife to let me have them. She agreed but I have to take her out on a date and build her a chest. Soooo looks like I will be at Rockler first thing Saturday morning.

I use Bessey as the first ones to reach for, but I picked up four Irwins and they work well. They tend to bind a bit when loosening but if you’re getting them for a good price I’d say go for it.
