Hello. I have a Delta 43-431X Shaper with 3hp single phase motor that decided to explode the start capacitor so I had to clean the box attached to motor out, some of the wiring got detached and now Im confused as how to properly rewire it when I get my new capacitor. This particular model has a reverse switch for the motor which complicates it further. ANy help or simply a picture of someones wiring would be great! Thanks.

Capacitor doesnt matter which contacts go where. It is reverse polarity. ” Normally!” But double check with your new capacitor to see if there are any markings on it.

I will see if i can find a diagram for the wiring.

Have your say...
