Hi Tim – I’m a far cry from a luthier, but I did build one hard body electric for one of my sons. Someday I’d like to build another. It was a great project and an awesome “journey”....so cool to learn all that stuff. The internet was a wonderful tool for that project. I’d strongly encourage anyone who’s considered building one to go for it!

I am by no means a luthier. I doing my first guitar build. I am working on the nut right now. You can see the build, along with some other pics of my dog and my wifes french beaded flowers etc. here:
