I am not making a direct accusation but I have had the same email address for about 20 yrs. I used to get anywhere from 5-10 spam emails in my folder a week. Within a week of signing up on this site I am now getting 40-50 spam emails in my folder a week, sometimes more. I have not signed up for any other forums but this one in the last year. What steps does this forum take to prevent others for getting our email address? I just find it a coincidence that it started right after I joined this forum.

Why would you register for anything on the Internet with your primary email? You should have used a different one, one you don’t care if it is shared.

I have not had any issues that I can trace or even think came from this forum.

I use Thunderbird for my email client and it has a good system for spam filtering.

Signed up 254 days ago and have not noticed any increase in spam. I use Micro$oft Outlook as an e-mail client.
