I have been looking for a Sorby Spiriling tool 330H for quite some time. The problem is that I did not want to/afford to spend the $189 that most wood turning stores want. I have been looking on Ebay for months and would get close to getting one new for $129-159 but always seemed to get beat out.
I resently had some surgey on my neck and am pretty limited to watching TV and surfing the web. So with Christmas coming up I decided to see if I could find one for a cheaper price than $189. After much searching I found a new one for $89!!! I couldn’t beleive that it was the same tool being that much cheaper but I thought that I could order it and if it was not what I was after just send it back.
Well today it finally came and it is a Robert Sorbey 330H Spiriling tool with all four cutters. And the place that I found it, drum roll…... Sears. They have severial Sorby tools at almost half of the normal prices. I would have never thought to look at Sears for good turning tools, but now it is going to be one of the first places that I look.
So for you that have been like me and waiting for a good price, wait no more. So take all of that Christmas money you get and get on line at Sears.
