Topic tags/keywords: question bandsaw

I acquired (FREE, looked like it was never used) an older detla 28-195 10” band saw and the baldes 72-1/2” long. I can’t seem to find any good blades in that size just tool shop ones. Is it possible possible to use 72” blades and be ok?

The 72” blade can be used if-and-only-if you have enough adjustment to bring the wheels 1/4” closer to one another.

If you are that concerned the Delta blades at 72 1/2” are available @ http://www.tools-plus.com/delta-72-5-inch-bandsaw-blades.html

The big box stores carry them, Woodcraft does also.

I don’t show any 72-1/2 listed at woodcraft or rocker. I even looked at Highland and they don’t list anything but 72”

You can get 72.5” Timberwolf blades from Suffolk Machinery.
