During his time in Washington DC, he will try to persuade the US government to allow Scottish producers to import haggis to the country – the latest in a series of attempts by the Scottish and UK governments to do so.

I don’t think you should get your ”kilts in bunch” over this!
I they approve it as is, doesn’t mean that you have to buy it or eat it!

It is just another one of those things that will get all twisted out of shape when the government gets involved!
It probably will be unrecognizable when all is said and little is done!

Haggis is already unrecognizable.
Menudo by committee.

We need to allow this in the name of cultural and culinary diversity.

Then we need to get it mandated for at least once/month under the school lunch program

Nobody quite knows what is in the “meat” loaf anyway

I know someone who got sick eating some “bad haggis”.

That makes my head spin, not to mention my stomach.

Moke, I got to agree with you. Another thing I had trouble with in Germany was tongue. Sort of like chewing on leather or gizzards. It/they just seem to get bigger and bigger.

I know that most of this forum has been about meats but I have one containing cheese that I dare any redblooded American to eat.

Fourty years after immigrating from Germany I had to return there on a business trip when I was introduced to a regional treat called Handkäse mit Musik by my cousin who has lived there all his life.

I sat down with my cousin and his wife in a Bierstube (local micro brewery of which Germany has a few) where they ordered this dish. The smell was out of this world, honestly, I have never smelled a dinner plate of food with that indescribable aroma of something that should not be eaten!
