Hey all,

I’m getting ready to start building new kitchen cabinets and I’ve watched Norm at nauseum in his series on kitchen cabinets…...... I’m just looking for a book to read and use as a reference guide while I’m working.

I see a large variety on the web but wanted some suggestions on books you guys have….

If you have watched Norm’s cabinet work and understood what he was doing I’m not sure you need a book. My suggestion it to go to the library. They should have lots of books on cabinets. If you find one you like then buy it. Check for some used ones at a better price.

Before you start your cabinets check out which types of hardware you want to use. Drawer slides and hinges vary a lot in quality, features, and price; and also affect the design of your cabinet. The prices may shock you.

My recommendations-books I’ve used to build cabinets (see my entertainment center in my Projects area of Home page)

Cabinets and Built-Ins, Paul Levine (used on Amazon)

Building Your Own Kitchen Cabinets, Jere Cary (used on Amazon)

for a DVD, get Marc Adams Cabinet Making
