Saw this on CraigsList, didn’t look like a $3000 Delta saw so I emailed the guy for particulars.

Delta X5 Table Saw – 3 HP Saw – $3,000+ MSRP – $1,500 OBO – $1500 (Madison)

First he sent me that motor info, volts 115/230 amps 12.8/8.6 Delta No. 62-044. Well that says it’s a 1-1/2HP motor (and I think the 8.6 is transposed and should be 6.8 or 6.4). Then I ask for the saw model number, he sends 36-451X, as near as I can tell that was a $600-$700 saw, maybe a $1000, but no $3000.

Sure hope nobody gets suckered into buying it for $1500, that should get you a UniSaw, not a contractors saw.

I saw that ad also and knew right away the seller wasn’t on the up and up. I can’t imagine anyone paying that amount after seeing the saw but I guess you never know now do you?

Hey syenefarmer, welcome to LJs, another Wisconsinite, glad to have you aboard!

Yep I agree. The one good thing about this thread is it shows up fast on Google, it’s already there. So hopefully anybody researching this saw before purchasing it will stumble across this.

Ad says they need something portable, isn’t it on wheels? LOL
