I’ve been working on this cabinet for some time now and have run into some issues along the way that I worked out with some great advice from my new buddy Charles Neil. I’m new to spraying anything on this project. I purchased an Earlex spay system and it works great. Any how, l’m working on the top now of my piece. I used GF’s water based dyes, de-waxed Shellac then GF’s ArmorSeal. I sprayed down a couple of coats of the poly then went to sand today with 400 grit paper. After sanding, I noticed the top getting hazy and cloudy. Hmm, so after doing some research. I decided to wipe the top down with with a tshirt and airing off the dust from sanding. I laid down another really nice coat of poly. I then starting noticing a spot of the top starting to blister! Looks like the only spot on the top. It also looks like it went through to the color. Any thoughts of what could have cause this reaction? Equally as important how to fix without redoing the top? I hope I don’t wake up to a blistered top!
