Topic tags/keywords: yates american table saw saw tablesaw

Hi,
I recently aquired a Yates American M80 table saw from a local high school and was wondering if someone could put a value on this. I bought it as part of a lot and I already have a table saw and this one is a bit of a beast.

The saw has a 220volt 2HP 3 phase motor, and a 14” blade.

Any help with a value or any more info on this machine would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone would be interested in this saw you can e-mail me at:

csmarsh188@yahoo.com

Thanks
Scott

Wow, I guess this piece is really a one off kinda thing. I’ve seen some G-89’s listed around, but never a M-80. I haven’t been able to find any info on it by searching the internet, I guess I have to call Yates and see if I can get anything from them.

Scott…..Its really hard to out a vlaue on a saw like that. I am guessing its an older model and would qualify as OWWM. Do you have a serial number? You might be able to get some info on the saw at www.owwm.com. I can tell you they will not give you an estimate on value. There are just too many variables. Good luck on your quest. I would like to see a pic if one is available.

Owwm.com has some stuff on g-89s, but not the m80. My intention is to sell this thing, I just have no idea where to start. This is a lot more than I need. I can send you a few pics if you would like.

My suggestion is to list it OWWM with what you feel is a fair price. Are you sure of the model? Are you sure its not in the G series? I have not seen any other Yates saws with the M series desigination. List the saw for sale in the BOYD, bring out your dead forum, with a price and location with pics and I am sure you will get some action. As for price, who knows, maybe the responses or lack there of will tell you how it is priced. Yes i would like to see some pics, just the curiosity in me

M-80 sounds like a casting number to me. Where did you find that number?

The M80 plate is definately a model number, The plate looks the same as a G89 does.

I had your pics shared to me by another member. The saw looks identical to the G-87 minus the model number difference.

Seeing that it was a Dept of Def saw, perhaps yates had a seperate model number line for the military equipment. They may of had to make small changes to meet specs.

Have your say...
