Would giving my fine wood gouges to the kids to carve pumpkin will send me to woodworkers hell?

There’s nothing like having the right tool for the job. As long as they’re careful, the results will be way better than using knives or other tools.

Viktor, you are a brave and kind father. The idea of my kids using my tools back in the day would give me nightmares. That especially goes for my son!!! I have so many stories of what he did to some of my tools. They are quite funny nowadays, back then…not so much.

The one thing I would always teach a young person it to check the direction that the cutter is going and Keep your other hand away from it or well protected with leather.
