I am ordering the Grizzly G0457 14” band saw and need a recommendation on what blades to order. I will doing some resawing and some scroll cutting. It seems the Timberwolf blades are the ones to go with and I can get them also from Grizzly. What width, number of teeth….......

Don,
Grizzly sells the Timber Wolf line of band saw blades and they are excellent. They have a selection chart in their catalog explaining which sizes etc to use for specific jobs. You can also call their support line and someone will give you all the answers you are seeking without BS.
As far as blades for resawing, the best I have found are the Woodslicer blades from Highland Woodworking in Atlanta.

Don,

I have tried all sorts of different blades for my 14” saw. When it comes to smaller blades for cutting curves and paterns the timberwolf makes some good blades, but blades dont have to be to fancy for that kind of work. My favorite blades for resawing are the laguna shear force. Earlier this year they ran a special by one get one free for under $20 if I remeber completly. For resawing they can be beat. They are just the perfect size 5/8 and cut some smothy, and low tension too. The low tension helps reduce drift that some people have trouble with.
