Topic tags/keywords: redwood burl

I recently bought a ton(or more) of super nice Redwood burl from a local wholesale producer that did not have the room to store the cutoffs, burl caps and burl chunks. I can’t turn it all myself. If you are interested let me know. I’ll post photos tomorrow but believe me, it’s nice stuff.

Some of the wood is small enough to ship but there are a lot of larger pieces like 23”x30×1.

Here are some photos. I had to take these after dark so the quality is not the best but I’m sure you get the idea. No sanding so the wood still has some saw marks.

I have received so many responses about the Redwood burl that I’m a little overwhelmed. If you’ve sent me a message, I will get back to you soon. For those of you out of the Sacramento area, I can ship most of my Redwood burl by USPS or larger items by FedEX.
Tonight a made a picturetrail album with photos and prices. I don’t have much processed yet but I will add more as I find time. I add some turning blanks soon too.

Thanks for the pictures. The wood is beautiful. I don’t know about you, but I struggle with the fact that such a beautiful tree is dead. I just can’t help to think about our natural resources and the time it takes for such a tree to mature to this stage. Make good use out of this wood!
