Hi guys, just stopping in to say hi as I look around and check out the site and projects.

Most of my woodworking is building guitars but I been known to do some relief carving, furniture and of course framing walls and such.

Looking forward to picking up some tips, tricks and techniques as well as sharing whatever I can contribute to the group.

Howdy. Bob

Glad to have you mixing things up. There are a few luthiers on the site and probably a few more folks that would like tips as well. You will learn a lot on here as well.

Here’s some photos from my last acoustic guitar build. I am currently working on a new acoustic guitar design that addresses the ergonomic issues of those who play seated in a wheelchair.

Here’s one I built a few years back. The wood was about 100 years old when a friend of mine gave it to me. Still had bark on it!

Took about 8 months to build.

Black Walnut body. I hand split some maple to make the body and laminated the neck. The fingerboard is birdseye maple and I did the inlay with black walnut.

Thanks! Been building guitars since 1980 with some breaks in between to pursue other interests. Gonna go have a look at the luthiers forum here and see who’s around.

Hi Bob, welcome aboard. After looking at your work I think’s more likely that we will be learning from you. Your guitars are fantastic.

Thank you BurlyBob, I’ve already found a few new ideas poking around the instruments forum. So many projects! So little time!
