Topic tags/keywords: veneer veneering scott grove marc adams mn woodworkers guild bronze mold casting resource seminar education training video

If you can be anywhere near the Twin Cities on the weekend of November 6, 7, and 8 then please consider attending the Scott Grove seminar. Scott is one of most highly recommended teachers from the Marc Adams School and here is an opportunity to learn from him without driving to Indianapolis!

This is a 2 and a half day seminar that will cover some really cool veneering techniques and a process that Scott calls Bronze cold casting.

This seminar is sponsored by the Minnesota Woodworkers’ Guild and it is at a bargain price, too!

Charlie,

I saw this video posted on the MN Woodworkers web site. Since last years fall seminar I have been rethinking my mindset on design, the art of woodworking, and making my own veneers. I think this workshop is a pretty good deal, and I get to meet and learn what other woodworkers are doing.

Oh yeah helps me get “off my butt and get going!” LOL!

Wish I could attend it sounds like a great class. Unfortunately, St. Louis is too far away.

I live in the Twin Cities, MN and am intrigued. How do I enroll and how do I find out how much time is devoted to casting (which I don’t care about). Also, is this some hands on or just watching his videos? thanks.

FYI,

MN Woodworkers guild home page.

You can contact the chair for the committee for this presentation. Might be an opportunity to meet woodworkers near you as well?

MNgary,

The Guild has been sponsoring these seminars every year for the last 12 years or so and they are always very good.

There will be a slide show of Scott’s work on Friday from 7-9 pm. The slide shows are pretty interesting!
Saturday is mostly about veneer and Sunday covers bronze cold cast and advanced edging techniques.

You can register through the MN Woodworkers' Guild.

Let me know if you are able to attend and I will look for you there.

Thanks,
Charlie
