Topic tags/keywords: crosscut saws saws japanese

Hey guys i’m looking to get a larger one man cross cut saw that I could carry on my back or bike. Thinking something around 3.5ft?

I currently have one of these silky big boy saws and love it but it’s blade is only 14”

I was curious if anyone knows the name/info of the larger japanese cross cut saws, similar to the one pictured here and whether they work any better then the american versions

I think the ones toward the left are for ripping boards but i’m talking about the one toward the right(from this post)

Sorry no idea about the name for the Japanese crosscut saws. I had seen the name for the large Maebiki Oga and those are very striking looking, but I haven’t seen names for the others.

Have your say...
