Topic tags/keywords: mahogany cedar pine wenge zebrawood cherry basswood alder question lumber flooring wood oak species

I’ve been finding different types of woods throughout my century home, and have had great feedback from you guys, helping me figure out species. These boards were my front porch floor boards, and I have hunch they are mahogany, but have never used the stuff, so it’s tough to tell. The board pictured is wetted down after a sanding, to help show the grain/coloring. Thanks in advance guys!

I’d say about 90% of the boards pulled up were quartered. I guess the stuff was way more readily available back in 1909.
