I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I could use a Ridgid Planer as a molder? Can molding cutters fit in this planer in place of blades? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is an old post but I a curious as to what answers, if any, you discovered on this topic? I’d never thought about putting different knives in the planer to cut moldings…does this actually work? Is it safe?
