Larry, I totally agree with you. That’s a real nice looking set up.

Thanks for your service BBob. Seems a lot of people anymore think of people like you as a target.
I would love to have that setup but it would mean a round trip of 170 miles and in unpredictable weather. larry

Larry,

You are passing on this deal because you would have to make a 170 mile round trip? If I wanted/needed it, I wouldn’t pass on a deal like this because it was 85 miles away!!

Bill, good thing that I did as I would have been caught in a long rain and that would have ruined my happy purchase trip. larry

I’m in agreement. As long as the cost of picking up the saw is low enough so the deal is still good, I’ll drive any distance to get what I need. Longest trip so far was a 9 hour round trip to Ohio for my $500 industrial cyclone. Almost considered a 32 hour round trip to get a Sawstop on the East coast since there was a small chance I’d get it for $600 but the bidding exceeded $1,500 by the end of the auction.

But I have a good truck that can haul a trailer and that’s what makes these sorts of trips affordable. Before I had the truck I’d almost never pick up heavy equipment unless it was within 60 miles. Trailer rentals are a lot cheaper than truck rentals and my pickup is more fuel efficient than a box truck. The local rental place has lots of trailer options including a very nice 6’x12’x7’ cargo trailer.

You guys are savage! I guess I am not. I don’t even buy green bananas anymore. :)
