Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw extrema help delta 24

I have a great 18 inch bandsaw… It is a brand new Delta…. for not much more I can switch it out to an Extrema EB-24 with a 5 horse motor and a huge beefy frame. It is a 24 inch (yet still pretty compact) bandsaw with a huge table… The bandsaw I have now is great but it is a bit smaller it is a Delta 28-682… If it cost me how much… should I go for it? I just cannot see any really good information or reviews on the web of the Extrema. One more thing… the Extrema has european style guides… I have never used those.. The delta has ball bearings… I like them… Will the European ones pose a problem? What are the practical differences to your work?

Thanks…

Drew

Although teal is one of my favorite colors I’d stick with the known and reputable Delta saw. You can always paint the Delta, and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind.

TEAL? Yer a funny guy… I have found that I am more attracted to gold than grey… and I really like the red and black from sawstop. The thing I am more impressed with is a 5 horse motor. The HUGE cast table… and Astounding resaw capacity. Ok even if you have no experience with Extrema please let me know about the european guides if you have them.
