Has anyone else noticed this?

It used to be that if I replied to a topic, that topic would immediately jump to the top of the list if I clicked on Forums. Now there is a considerable delay. The reply itself gets posted right away, but the topic list will still show that the last comment was 2 hours ago or whatever.

This isn’t the biggest deal in the world….. just a little disconcerting because I don’t usually add every topic I’m following to my watch list…. I just glance at the first page of topics to see what has been most recently replied to.

I hope this makes sense to someone besides me. :-)

sorry… it took some time till I got the notification about this updated forum topic… ;)

to add to your concern – I find lumberjocks a little less responsive and a bit slower in the past week or so also. another thing that I noticed is that Safari/firefox will no longer keep me logged in, and if I put my computer to sleep, or quit the browser, I will need to manually log in again to LJ. something that only started about a week ago. and I have not done any updates to either browsers in the past month+

What I notice is when I post a comment on a new project, then go back to the the project list, the posted comment counter does not change immediately as before.

Yeah, that too. Pretty much the same issue.

Yes, I’ve noticed delays. Also, the roll the dice sections doesn’t change projects sometimes. It keeps displaying the same one over and over after you visit other sites. Do you think this is all part of the same slow loading issues?

Greetings Charlie: I wrote a topic a day ago about the pages loading SLOW!! I think that the server is getting over-loaded with so many people on here trying to post projects, blogs, forums, etc. It’s been bad for the last couple of weeks.

Again Happy Belated Birthday Charlie. You didn’t respond the other day when I wished you happy bday, must have been one of those delayed things. I had to reload firefox the other day. I don’t know what happened. Puters getten old I think. But I’ve had all the same delays too. Mike in Mich.

Hey folks, last week I added 10 mins caching to listing pages (projects, blogs, videos, forums) and home page to speed things up overall. It’s a small price to pay for offloading our database and having more processing power ready instantly to serve the growing number of visits and posts.

Hi Martin , does what you did have any effect on how long it takes for a page to load / switch or return ?
Thank you and happy Holidays to you and your family : )
