I’m looking to add an air filter to my shop and am looking at the Grizzly G0738:

Thoughts on this filter, and whether it would be sufficient for a 12’x20’x10’ shop?

Your shop is 2400 cubic ft by my calculation, therefore at the grizzly’s lowest speed of 260 cfm it would take 9.25 minutes to circulate all of the air in your shop. At mid speed 6.6 minutes and high speed 5.9 minutes. It seems reasonable for the size of your shop. One thing that stands out is that you don’t gain much between mid and high speed.

I bought this unit last year and very happy so far except that the filters are a size not available around here. The filter does blow clean easy enough but next time I am close to a Grizzly outlet will pick up a few spares! My shop is 5700 cu/ft and I usually just let it run at low speed to circulate the air, Should of got the next size up in hindsight maybe!

I bought this Grizzly unit about a month ago and so far it is great. After a couple of weeks I pulled off the outside filter and was amazed by the amount of dust it had collected. Very quiet in operation.

I have the forerunner of this filter/fan. GO5559. I have used it since 2008. My shop is 23×13 and it does a good job cleaning the air in about six minutes. The filter at the inlet is washable as are the bag filters inside.
