Topic tags/keywords: question - california pepper wood for sale

we’re having a relatively large Ca Pepper tree removed within the next month, with base around 5 1/2 feet wide. We’re told this wood is valuable for turning so we’d love to help recoup some of the costs of removing it.
We’re in San Rafael Ca, 12 miles north of San Francisco. Anyone interested?

If I were close at all, I would come get the entire tree. Hope it works out for you.

I’m not close enough to take it but if it is schinus molle, I milled some from a small tree we took down in our Arizona yard and it is beautiful hard wood. I cut some veneer from it and also built a scraper plane from it. Whoever gets this will have some very nice material.

Make sure you seal it with anchorseal or a latex paint(I believe?) so it does crack and turn into firewood.

As per the tree company who is removing it, it is a schinus molle!
