Does anyone have experience adding the riser block to a shop fox 14” bandsaw to increase resaw capacity? I need to gain some height but this just doesn’t seem like an ideal solution. I’m debating selling the saw and buying a new larger saw. Suggestions or experience with this would be much appreciated!

Riser blocks have been on the market for years. Not a bad idea, but some frames don’t respond well to the necessary added tension required, and some block kits require some fitting to the frame in order to align well.
YMMV depending on the kit.

I have the Shop Fox 1704 with a riser block and it hasn’t given me any problems. Everything fit great and doesn’t seem to flex under load, it will resaw just fine. The block upgrade is very inexpensive, give it a try and if you are not happy with it then sell it and get a bigger BS.
