I want to start recording stuff to post on iternet I have adobe premiere elements, and a good hd camera. I never captured video on computer,so A couple ? What is a good Program? do you have to compress video, for internet, and if so To what type. If anyone can give me the steps it takes that would be great. Also wanted to know if you can record directly to computer from camera without useing a tape and then edit.
Thanks Jim

Consider getting a Mac if you can at all afford one. I tried to use several programs on Windows and on Linux, and easily crashed all of them. After I bought a Mac, the whole process became painless, and iMovie, which comes standard, works well. As far as distribution, most sites (You Tube, blip.tv, etc) will accept whatever format you have and convert it.
