Topic tags/keywords: question

my wife wants me to make an oval picture frame. it is fairly large 12”X16” or about that. I am new to all of this and would gladly accept any information on tools or wood types that might lend themselves to a better project. i currently have black walnut, pine, red cedar, maple, honey locust and soon some sycamore.

Any of those woods would work…depends on your taste. What tools are available to you?

wow there was a waring this site was addictive now can’t get any work done. I have table saw, router, jig saw, and band saw that needs blade guide, and planer. had thought once about 4 kinds of wood and glue together for a more seasonal approach.
