cheers all,

i have seen a jewelry box on pinterest where there a 5 or 6 drawers stacked on each other but each drawer opens horizontally to the side. evidently it has some kind of a long hinge mechinism in one of the back corners. i can find no plans of any kind how this is done. i could wing it if i have to but normally i crash and burn and waste wood. any help would be appreciated.

You should shoot a PM to member shipwright on here. He recently did a jewelry box with that hinge mechanism.

The hinge Jeff is referring to was my own design but it does work. Here is a blog entry about it.

If you can’t accomplish anything at Paul’s level, consider yourself gifted. He’s one of our shining stars. Make sure you post.
