Rockler has a nice deal on a carbide turning chisel kit. 1/2 in. x 10 in. round bar, pair of Hunter-style round (cupped) cutters and a brass ferrule. Turn your own handle. $20 (normally $47) plus tax and shipping. SKU #55577, “Carbide Roughing Gouge Kit”. I think I made my ash handle too short.

Enjoy.

I finally ordered mine this am. Free shipping over $25 with code led me to order some glue brush kit too – to take it up to 27.

Replacement cutters? Rockler doesn’t sell them.

Same cutter as Hunter #4, 12 mm. Azcarbide has them for $12.

Nice, AZCarbide didn’t have that style last time I ordered.
