I need to replace my Delta JT360 jointer knives. 6 1/8 inch long.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Freud makes all sizes of jointer knives. I am sure they have the right size. If you know the actual size of the knives. Just measure the thickness, width and length of your old ones.

Or you can do this——http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/parttools.cgi/37-658

That toolpartsdirect seems expensive. I have had good luck with Grizzly knives. My current set is CMT and I have been unhappy with them, JMO.

Staightpiped, You may be right. I didn’t bother to check prices. I just did a quick search for that jointer, and that’s the first one I found. CMT is also good. Probably Grizzly too. I guess maybe we all made the point that there are a lot of options, they don’t need to be Delta knives.
Scotty, If you have a local dealer, you might check there first. Online is a great alternative if you don’t.

Kent: Maybe you can help me. I inherited a JT 360 Jointer (Delta) and it is new but was a store model so no knives nor the bars that hold them in. I bought them from Delta. But the bolts that secure the bars (12 ea) were no longer available Delta said they thought they were 1/4”x28×3/8” right hand hex hear bolts. Any way you can confirm that? Grizzly has similar jointer and they use 1/4”x28×9/32”size but they call them GIB screws.

Go to eReplacementParts.com and put in your model #. They will have a part diagram and sometimes the parts too. If not try Blades.com, they have about all kinds of blades.

I went ahead and checked with eReplacementParts.com and they do carry the jointer knives. They are on back order until May and the set of 3 is a little over $100.

Those blades are listed as 6” x 5/8” x 3/32.. you should be able to use the Freud C350 knives which are 6” x 5/8” x 1/8”. Amazon has them for about $25 for a set of 3.

Cheers,
Brad

My post was regarding the original question karday… but for your missing bolts – ereplacements show them to be 1/4”x3/8”x28tpi right hand grade 8 bolts.. pretty easy to verify (take one that size/tpi and see if it fits), and you can probably pick 12 of them up at Ace or any other decent hardware store for a couple bucks.

Cheers,
Brad
