My grandson is comming for Christmas and we want to make a lap desk to meet his scout merit badge requirements. Does anyone have a suggested plan?

Try this. You can allways extend the top over your lap farther.

Thanks, that won’t work for the kid, but it might for me!

Thanks as well! These give me some great ideas. The Merit Badge requires mortised hindges and Pops (thats this kid for Grandpa) requires dovetails. He’ll be here for a week and I have lots of wood!
