I picked this up at a yard sale for $50.00 bucks, guy said it worked, I can’t get any voltage from it, I have it plugged into the one that says transformer…..

Can I take this apart and fix it or should I

send it off for repair.

Haven’t I seen those at Home Depot got something like 2 for $10? Drfinitelynot worth attempting to fix. What did seller give as a reason for something so apparently mundane being worth $50?

I think those are European plugs. That’s why you don’t read any voltage.

You really do know that you have it plugged into itself, right? Maybe not if you actually did pay $50 for it.

Sorry if I missed you goofing on your fellow LJ’ers if that was your intention.

Duh – I missed the “humor” tag at the top. I can state without fear of contradiction that my leg has officially been pulled!!

Good one, upinflames!

I know some republicans that find electricity baffling.

That’s pretty funny. I would prefer a world where all had candles to a world where some have electricity and the rest didn’t. See what I did there?

I bet most republicans think Ben Franklin invented electricity and Edison invented the electric light. Sheesh.
