Just a place-holder for now, but I hope to offer knives similar to this for trade or sale soon.

Designed to be very thin for transferring tails to pins.

Roughly 6” long, 1/2” wide, full tang, O1 steel heat-treated to HRC of 63, stabilized wood for the handle.

Brass, horn, or ivory added for bling!

You should also offer sets of left and right knives. Looks really nice Terry.

Thanks, Paul. I may need a product tester in a hot, dry environment…

You mean a tip shaped like this?

That would be much simpler to shape.

Pretty sweet, Terry! Hard to tell in the picture, does it come to a spear point? What is the scale pictured?

Auggie, my sandbagging friend, YOU could probably make this on your lunch break. :)

Thanks, Putty.

Candy, yes a spear point. Here’s a better shot…

that square is only 3×4”...the knife is similar to a pencil in your hand. very small.

bhog, glad to see ya!

Haha, I second that! But seriously Terry, you do some excellent work. These marking knives are pretty slick looking. Excited to check back in!

Very nice. I almost bought a making knife in a Rockler store last weekend. I would be interested in 1 of yours, when you have them ready.

Small but important design suggestion.

I have one that has a handle similar to your second one. Look nice, works well…but I hate it. Why? Because the handle is round and it is forever rolling around and getting nudged off of my bench. Just one little tap from the side by an errant workpiece or tool…and it rolls all the way to the edge.

Would much prefer the square-ish handle of the first one.

-- Last week I finally got my $*i# together. Unfortunately, it was in my shop, so I will probably never find it again.

Thanks, guys, was mostly posting a photo for a buddy to OK a knife headed to him in a swap.

The wood is Honduran Rosewood, oil and wax finish.

Jeff, yep, this shape rolls off my bench as well. I just keep other square tools nearby as anchors. :)

I prefer the spear point (first one). Reason there is more bearing surface against a straight edge
