Cleaning out the shop (again) and selling my type 2 Stanley Bedrock jointer plane. This one is an unrestored, all original plane, as far as I can tell, with a beautiful patina.

If you are unfamiliar with Bedrock types, here is the best resource I know of. You can see in the pics the No 7 on the nose and milled out area on the tail that is characteristic of the type 1 and 2 Bedrocks. Japanning is about 50% and there it a small chip out of the horn on the tote. Currently sharpened with a slight camber and works great. Would make a solid user or wonderful addition to a collection of Bedrocks. A previous owner used a punch to stamp their initials on the left side (ERS), so if your name is Ezekiel Ray Sanders, I won’t even charge extra for the personalization. :-)

Asking $125, plus shipping. Wanted to give another LJ first shot before listing on ebay. PM if interested.

JayT – let me know if you don’t get any takers. My nephew might be interested.

If I hadn’t found a good No 7 on the ‘bay I’d have bought it. A good fore plane is at the top of my list now.

I somehow ended up with an extra pre-war II (IIRC) Stanley #6. I’m planning on selling it, but haven’t got around to it yet. If you’re interested, I’ll send you some pics.
