Hey, Don…

I’ll trade you my Stanley #604 1/2 round-side for a handful of #32, #33, or #34 frogs, cutters, lever caps, etc., the 2 5/8” wide ones. I need two complete assemblies.

Unfortunately I gave my transitional frogs to JayT for his cool shooter! I’ll double check, but doubt I have any left.

So, Don… we’re dying to know, what are your plans for these cracked planes?

Surely you’re looking for parts, not attempting to fix the, right?

I like building these. Some I keep for my collections some I sell or trade to other collectors and I’m certainly not cutting the side off perfectly good planes.

Note the top one does not have the tote cut in half like I normally do. This was a broken type 2 Sargent 408 with a very early tote. These totes are hard to find, so it stays whole.

I never cut a good tote. They have to be broke or repaired to make it to this project.

I don’t see how they can be structurally sound.
