I have a Porter cable discs sander that uses hook and loop discs. The problem is the discs are not holding on the sander. The discs are new. Can this problem be corrected?

John, I believe when that happens it’s time to replace the pad on the sander.

charlie is right…the pad is where the hooks are…over time they become mashed down and loose there efectivness and thus replacing the pad is required..after that…your back in bussiness…...

I have to replace my PC hook and loop pad usually once a year. I think the last one cost me about $15.

John do as we do on every return trip to Russia. We not only have check on luggage we have carry on luggage with an extra pair of drawers in them just in case the plane can’t fly and we have to spend the night until it can fly. Once your luggage is checked for international you can’t retrieve it until you get to your destination. (Delta) Happened to us twice when we had to fly though JFK. One time Moscow was butt deep in snow and the next time the plane had engine problems but, we had our extra pair of drawers in our carry on luggage so we had a spare when there was a failure. You’ve had a failure so get you two sets of drawers for the sander and then you’ll have an extra pair when you have another failure.
