Tell me about pencils. I know they have a way of hiding from you.

Purchased a 36 pack of mechanical pencils a couple weeks ago. I figured that with enough, I could fine one just about anywhere I looked. Out in the shop a couple days ago, couldn’t find a pencil, #%&#!. Bought another pack. Wife asks, “why’d buy more pencils?”. Told her I couldn’t find the other ones. “Ever think about looking in your desk drawer?” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep about six pencils in my pocket.

After the the last one of them disappears, then I start looking for them.

I keep 3 dz pencils in the shop. At least half of them need to be sharpened. The other half are hiding. I buy cheap tape measures every time I see them on sale. I let the cow dog visit me in the shop a few times a week. That way I have someone to blame it on.

I drilled 4 i” deep holes just bigger than a pencil in my mitre sled and on the oruter table fence. Ikeep pencils in there. If i find a pencil lying around i fill a holes with it. It has been working well for the 3 or three weeks i been using this system.
Now if i could just find my router table or Mitre sled!!!!
