Topic tags/keywords: table saw table saw fence biesemeyer fence upgrade

So I’ve been dreaming about a Biesemeyer fence now for about a year and finally pulled the trigger on a new fence and rail system. I have a Shop Fox W1819 cabinet saw and just don’t love the lack of quality in the build of the T-square fence and I’m not crazy about the phenolic faces as they already have gouges from ripping lumber.

I’m curious to know if anyone has yet to mount a Biesemeyer fence to either the Shop Fox or Grizzly version of this saw?

If so, was it pretty simple?

Thanks in advance.

Never done it on that particular saw, but the fence bolts on pretty much the same regardless of what it’s being attached to. The manual documents how to mount to non-Delta machines, and basically just involves placing the front rail in the proper position and drilling some holes in your table to mount it to. Rear rail is completely non-critical and can even be left off if you aren’t using it to hold up an extension table.

Cheers,
Brad

Thanks Brad, I guess it will be pretty straight forward. Not looking forward to drilling holes in my cast iron but not a big deal.

On another note, after looking at some Amazon reviews some folks have been pretty disappointed in the quality of the recent model. Has anyone purchased this recently and not been satisfied?

I swapped my Shop Fox Classic fence tube for a Jet Xacta II fence tube, and kept the Shop Fox rails. AFAIK, the Biese will also drop into the SF rails…..or at least the older style Biese will.
