Hi All,

Attached is a crude diagram showing how i want to install a door for a customer. It’s a door under a staircase. I want it hinged off a wall, but customer wants it blind (blends in with the siding).

So first question is, is there a hinge that can do this? Sort of like an offset euro cabinet hinge, but much beefier. The door is roughly 36” wide, 7’ tall, and maybe 80-100 pounds.

Second question: Customer wants to be able to open it by disengaging a magnet, sort of like a cabinet style latch.
Is there a large heavy duty version of this you guys know of?

soss hinges are typical for large doors.
Is there going to be a handle on the door? Or are you looking for a touch latch?

thanks wooddust. it looks like the soss hinge would solve the issue of the hinge being concealed, but how does it allow the door to open against a wall?
