I have a Ryobi router table that I got on clearance from HD for $15. I am not real thrilled about the fence that comes with the unit, Has anyone upgraded the fence but continued to use the rest of the table? I have looked online and most of the fences I have seen are 32 or 36 inches long, this table measures 28 inches long and 14 inches wide. If I purchased a different fence, and it hung over the end of the table 2 inches on each side would that create other issues. I may take the table and put into a spare cabinet that I have and will modify if needed.

It wouldn’t hurt to have the fence overhang the table. You could always cut the overhang off. Check out Rockler, they used to have some reasonably priced fences and they currently have $15 off on $50 or more purchases.

Or you could build your own that meets your needs exactly.
