I'm tempted to buy this just for the fence and give the saw away for free

He offered to sell me both table saws for $200 but I don’t want the scrap metal I just want the delta fence. It’s better than the one I have on my R4511 as it sits now. I offered him $50 for the fence and rails but no dice. Would it be worth it to offer him $100 for the saw and then just remove the fence and put it on the curb for free? Or I could put my old fence on it and resell it for $50…

Ok I sent him that offer and he countered with $150 for both saws. I don’t need two saws to get rid of any more than he does but I’d love to get ahold of that fence. I wish he would just make me a deal on it.

For $200, they both would already be in my garage. Yank the fence for your current saw and sell the rest to make up your $200 cost. You should be able to get one saw in great operational condition (with the stock fence) and sell it on CL for at least $100-$150 (or maybe more if you do a good job cleaning it up and getting it running). Parting out the rest should make up for the difference.

Edit: Wow.. at $150, that is a no brainer

I finally got him to make me an offer on only the one saw. $125 Is that too much to just get the fence?

You should buy it all use what you want and sell the rest. I am very sure there are people looking for parts from them. Then use the rest as scrap metal.

I sure could use a motor if it is 1hp for a project and I will give you $20 for the motor.

The fence looks like a Delta T-2 fence. When I bought mine two years ago, it was over $200 on sale. I’d have done the deal for both for $200 without too much hesitation.

I just went through the same thing on the selling end. I asked $150 for the saw. No action. Offered the Vega fence alone for $200 and it was gone in two days. I stripped what was usable off the saw and recycled the rest

150$ for both. Get them now. Clean them up. Resell for 75 apiece. At least.

I’m going tonight to get at least the one with the fence. I got him to offer me $125. I’m thinking I can resell it for that and maybe break even. I don’t think I can haul both but if it fits and he wants to throw the other one in we’ll see.

That fence will be a big improvement on the stock fence on my Ridgid r4511.

I have that Delta T-2 fence and really enjoy it. It will treat you well.
