Well guys, following up the outstanding deal I got on the Powermatic 66 (5HP, 1ph), which I am in about $900 deep, I managed to score another big item.

I was able to secure a Shop Fox 8in Jointer.

A man in my church had decided to pick up woodworking and then found out that he had developed a wood dust allergy. As I understand it, the jointer had all of about 10 minutes of use on it, which was from the day he got it home, then it sat for about 5 years. He offered it to me for the price of simply re-trimming two of the bedrooms in his house. The trim is currently painted pine and he would like to change it out to match the cherry that is through the rest of the house. He also was kind enough to throw in a DeWalt 735x planer with the stand to sweeten the deal a little more! Jackpot!!!

@a1Jim – I’ve got it all tuned in and I am capable of making cuts so clean now with that saw that I have to look close to determine which side is jointed and which side has been ripped on the table saw! it really is incredible. I really think that the only reason I would change out saws now is if I decide that I’d like to change out to a SawStop.
