Just came in for lunch after machining the parts for 2 doors for my neighbor. I have a 3hp shaper with a power feeder that I bought on Grizzly’s Christmas sale a few years ago, but was not happy with using a Freud router set for making panel doors with it. Ordered a ogee raised panel bit, and mounted it what seemed like upside down on a 3/4” spindle on the shaper, and tried it to make the raised panels. What a HUGE difference running the cutter over the top of the panel. My old router bit raised panel cutter cuts on the bottom, and it is hard to get the edges of the panels even, but the over the top cutter really solved that problem! Also purchased a 1 5/8” roller collar, just works awesome.

Hey Jim, great when a plan comes together. Always the best feeling when things go right without too much effort. Have fun, make some dust.
