Ran into a deal I couldn’t pass up, well at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Was able to purchase these Made in America vises yesterday, a school was closing the shop program down. Figured I’d give a before picture before going ahead and refurbishing them.

Im looking at this picture asking myself what the hell does the bottom handle do? Then I realized it, youve got 8, not 4, vices! Good score.

And for the first post, ill send you my address.

Clarkie, those vises are taking up too much shop space.! PM me if you want to shed one.

Hey Turtle, I think the shipping would ruin the deal.

Those vises are definitely valuable.

So disappointing so many schools closing their shop programs. Wonder if I can deduct some of my property tax for teaching my kids how to build a bird house?

Hey Danny, yup, anything that is made in America is valuable to me also. Big block, it is sad that the schools are closing the shop programs, not everyone wants to sit behind a desk and vegetate. Too bad so many don’t know the joy in woodworking or in the other fields. Have fun, make some dust.

I have one of those Wilton vises and I don’t think it will fit in a flat-rate box at all, the rods and screw are too long. I had a devil of a time getting the tapered pin out of the handle where it connects to the screw, which is the only way to break it down.
With aa new roll pin put in the handle my vise is like new and works like a champ. just my 2 cents.

Hey daddy, always made it a rule not to discuss purchase price on anything. They may be up for sale after I recondition them, but right now just putting them to the side, thanks for the question. Have fun make some dust.
