How do I search for posting by certian individuals? I know how to search, but I do not see how look for authors or other advanced search methods. Did I just miss it?

Mics – that work if you are currently looking at something that they have posted to. For example, I could click on your name now and see what you have posted. However, if you you mention another member names in your posting, how do I find him/her.

I was reviewing workshop planning ideas and some of the postings mentions they liked what “sawdust” had done. Another mentioned that “scrapwood” had some great thoughts for shop layouts. In both cases I have no link to click on and you can imagine the search results I got when I searched for sawdust and scrapwood.

I see what you mean…There is no way to even make the “jocks” list display alphabetically.

If you know the lumberjocks’ username, you can just go to their homepage and search “activity log”. You can get to a jock’s homepage, by going to lumberjocks.com/[username].

So your home page is http://lumberjocks.com/hjt

And for your example above: http://lumberjocks.com/sawdust

I hope this helps.

ok so if you think you read something about some jock named scrapwood but it was reall scrapwoods or scrapwood2 of any million other possibilities…there still is no way to find him in the members list because there isnt an view alphabetically option…we all know how to find a member otherwise. The member list needs a search function.

It should also have “by location” option in the search field.
