Anybody following LJ's on Twitter?

Yes … if I use lists its not too bad … allot like following tech people …

I follow LJ, and yes, there’s a lot of tweets. But I actually like it, especially if I’m limited for time. I’ve been able to check out a lot of the new projects that way when I normally wouldn’t have time.

I agree with the Scotsman and Miles125. When I am in my workshop, the last thing I want is to be deluged with computer messages (how many letter carriers do you know who deliver mail in their spare time?).

I work in the computer software industry … Twitter and the other ‘Social Networking” sites may be fine for some folks, but for most network administrators, they are the bane of our existance. A lot of companies just outright ban them.

Well you don’t tweet while you’re in the workshop, at least I don’t. But it’s just another way of being notified of posts, just like you are via email.

I’m leaning towards giving it a try, might drop NASA then. they tweet a lot, maybe just now though due to the current shuttle mission. So I might keep NASA and see if they clam down any.

Funny , I was going to ask if anyone here was on Facebook….I’m Dusty FiftySix on there if you want to add me to your friends list. Free shipping might be worth it but I’m lucky to have a store nearby and if they don’t have what I want i buy it and it’s shipped to the store that way I don’t have to pay for shipping.
