I finally found the time to plane down the wood that socrbent re sawed for me and holy cow, am I happy!!!

I spent the last 45 minutes or so planing it all down. What do you all think? They’ve all been wiped with spirits…

The first set is 20”x15”x3/8”, total. The dark steaks are skid marks from my planet, so that’ll sand out pretty easily.

The second set is 24”x16”x a heavy 3/8” total. It’s got some very minor flaws with regards to the grain but most of that can be avoided depending on template placement.

The third photo of each set shows the flame as well as I could get under fluorescent lights. I’m REALLY happy with how they turned out. Now to decide whether to use both sets one one guitar or to split them and use them as two fronts on two guitars…..

And again, the damn photos are turned. Sorry.

Real ugly stuff, I’ll take it off your hands for free just so you don’t have to see that mess again

Gorgeous!! Don’t let the word get out, though, that our planet is skidding. :-) :-) Seriously, that is b-e-a-u-tiful wood!
