I really need to thank socrbent for helping me out today. I put out a call earlier this week for anyone in my area who could do some resaw work and he stepped up first. We spoke on the phone and mad arrangements for me to go to his home and he did exactly as I needed. I had two pieces of some beautiful curly maple that I needed resawn for a book-match and he nailed it.

So thanks to socrbent and LumberJocks as a whole!!! I’ve included some photos of what he did. The wood was photographed after being wiped down with mineral spirits. Please excuse the sideways photos. Apple still can’t get the rotation figured out on its own even after all these years.

That is really cool. Can’t wait to do some resawing on my band saw.

To be honest, to find someone, especially via the interweb, as polite and cordial as socrbent was a true gift. We should all be so luck yo to find someone like him, even if it’s only once in a great while. Really restores one’s faith in humanity. Thanks again!!!
