Topic tags/keywords: jig miter saw tablesaw

Hello all. I’m in the process of making a jig or my miter saw to hold down small workpieces. I don’t have a table saw and was looking for recommendations on where I should look to see if I can have someone accurately rip the pieces to the appropriate dimensions. I’m am located in the Orange County area of California. I’ve called a few cabinet shops to see if they would cut the material for me but no luck so far. Any recommendations on where to look would be greatly appreciated

Try a Vocational School with a wood shop.

Look on craigslist to see who’s selling lumber or older tools because they got newer ones. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind cutting a little for free or a small fee.
