I have built a barbecue cart to sit outside on my patio. I used aromatic cedar which looks great. I am not sure how to finish it as it will remain outdoors year round. I was thinking of deck stain or using Epifanes varnish. I know the boat guys swear by Epifanes varnish. I just don’t know how it will hold up. I would like to preserve the look of the cedar. Suggestions needed.

I would use a penetrating clear deck sealer and avoid varnish. Varnish looks great initially, but requires more maintenance to keep it looking good.

Paul
Did some research on your suggestion and it looks like that is the way I will go. Thanks
